The Delta do Parnaiba is located at the northern part of the State, at the border with the State of Piaui and next to the villages of Tutóia, Paulino Neves and Araioses from where tours are organized.

Delta do Rio Parnaíba - The Delta do Parnaíba is the third largest delta in the ocean, in the world. An unusual natural phenomenon, it exists only at the Nile, in Africa, and at Mekong, in Vietnam. It's configuration reminds one of an open hand where the fingers are the rivers running to the Parnaiba river creating an enormous ecological sanctuary. Rivers, wildlife, dunes and lakes are all attractions to be appreciated and enjoyed by the tourist. It is an unforgettable site!
